BGC Modular's Winning Formula

1. Affordability

Modules are prefabricated within a 9,000 square metre undercover manufacturing plant in Canning Vale and delivered to site by BGC's own transport division.

This construction method and BGC's vertical integration contributes to the overall affordability of the finished product.

BGC Modular has award winning display homes in Karratha and Broome, as well as undertaking large scale residential developments within these regions for multi-national resource companies and individual buyers.

2. Diversity

A broad product range delivers diverse quality housing reflecting the site's context and character, while engaging with the surrounding development.

We apply these same fundamentals to each of BGC's residential housing brands.

The prefabricated nature of the built form process provides regional residents with the same level of comfort as would be achieved with a traditional in-situ build for metropolitan-based residents.

3. Innovation

BGC Modular is piloting 'adaptable' housing concepts where additions (either horizontal or vertical modules) can occur through pre-fabricated modular components.

This allows for 'future proofed' homes with designs that can be adapted or extended as a household increases in size.

This provides a more affordable entry price point so that the initial outlay can be controlled within the initial land cost and suitable affordable dwelling configuration that can be extended in the future.

4. Community

BGC Modular has a commitment to provide quality, affordable modular buildings to local communities around Australia.

Where possible we support local professionals, suppliers and trades personnel for the construction, transportation and installation of our modular buildings.

BGC Modular aims to maximise opportunities for local communities through sponsorships, direct employment and/or traineeships opportunities for sub-contracting and tendering on projects.

5. Sustainability

Sustainable living principles are a primary consideration for BGC Modular with our homes being designed to a minimum six star green rating.

Long term durability, low maintenance and comfort are all considered at every stage of the design process.

BGC Modular's sustainability initiatives include, solar passive design, minimum site impact, reduced on-site wastage, incorporation of full insulation, use of water saving plumbing fittings, use of energy efficient light fittings and appliances, option to use solar hot water and photovoltaic power systems.

6. Quality Control/Quality Assurance &OHS

BGC Modular is continually developing and implementing improvements to our integrated management system which are aligned with:

  • Federal Safety Commission (FSC) Accreditation
  • Australian Standards/NSZ ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems
  • Australian/NZS 4801:2001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems

Through these management systems, BGC Modular continually strives to improve the quality and safety of the construction process and as a consequence that of our modular buildings.
